Welcome to the Marist school website

With Christ as our guide, we learn, we love, we achieve together.

Dear Families,

Welcome to The Marist Catholic Primary School website.

Located in the heart of West Byfleet, The Marist is a nurturing two-form entry institution, dedicated to educating children aged 4-11. Our rich heritage of serving the local parish of Our Lady Help of Christians is a testament to our commitment to Catholic values, instilling love and respect for others through the teachings of Christ. Our mission is clear: With Christ as our guide, we learn, we love, we achieve together.

As you explore the pages of our website, you will discover a wealth of information about our school's ethos, curriculum, and community. Every member of Team Marist strives to provide the very best for all of our children, helping them to excel academically, spiritually and emotionally. We are proud to offer a well-rounded education that not only equips our children with the skills they need but also instils in them the values of compassion, respect, and service. Our strong ties to the community, and exceptional facilities all contribute to our children becoming the best 'Marist Learners' they can be during their time with us.

If you are new to The Marist, we invite you to join us on one of our open days or reach contact the school office to arrange an alternative date for a tour. Experience first-hand our caring, vibrant, and joyful school community. On behalf of all at Team Marist, we eagerly anticipate the opportunity to welcome you.

With every blessing,

Emily Fanzo

Our Mission

I have come in order that you may have life - life in all its fullness'. (John 10:10)

With Christ as our guide, we learn, we love, we achieve together.

The values Christ embodied, the Gospel values, are the basis of our school life. The Gospel values are: love, forgiveness, reconciliation, justice, faith, integrity, humility, service, peace, hope and prayer.

We learn,

We learn in a safe, encouraging community of high expectations for the achievement and conduct of all.  The British Values - democracy; the rule of law; individual liberty; mutual respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths – underpin our curriculum. We encourage all our children to develop the qualities of a Marist Learner: enthusiasm, perseverance, confidence, reflection, collaboration and independence.

we love,

At The Marist, rules about how we behave are based on this commandment: “Love one another”. We believe that it is important to value and respect others; forgiving and reconciling when mistakes are made.

we achieve together,

We work hard so that learning is stimulating, challenging and engaging.  Our expectations for all children are high, for both work and behaviour. We celebrate the talents and achievements of all so that children can develop spiritually, academically, physically and emotionally.

Safeguarding

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Our Child protection policy can be located in the Policies page under 'School Information'.
